The Honorable Rev. Dr. Simeon L. Queen was birthed by Dr. Paul Queen Sr. & Dr. Brenda Queen in the city of Port Arthur, Texas. Dr. Queen’s passion for politics & ministry has been a fire that has touched the hearts of the wounded through God’s ultimate love. Dr. Queen is truly a peculiar 31 yr. old who has focused his life’s work on that of building the kingdom of God as well as creating facets of holistic community development to build our community. Dr. Queen was blessed to have received a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, with a specialization in Juvenile Justice Systems, a Master of Arts in Counseling, & a Master of Community Development with certifications in Community Planning & Fundraising all before the age of 24 from Prairie View A&M University. In June of 2006, Rev. Queen received his Doctorate of Missionology from The Lord’s Outreach School of Theology in Lake Charles. Dr. Queen’s political career began at 21 when he ran as a Write-In candidate for Waller County Justice of the Peace, Pct.3 & continued with him running for Waller County Commissioner, Pct. 3, in which he successfully won the Primary, but took an unexpected lost in the general election. Understanding that with no struggle there is no progress, Dr. Queen refused to quit and is now a City Councilman, Position #5, for the great city of Prairie View, Texas, where he also is the Chairman of the Board of Adjustments & Appeals for there historical city. He was elected in May 2006 within the State of Texas. He has also served as the past Mayor Pro Tem and has just began his 3rd term in office. Dr. Queen is also a author of a ground breaking book deemed, “Christians We Be Clubbin”, a book to bring forth a new consciousness in spiritual enlightenment to the younger generation and the body of Christ in general. Dr. Queen is also the Past National Executive Vice President for F.O.C.G: Sigma Rhomeo Inc., the Chaplin for the Epsilon Tau Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., the Past National Chaplain (3 terms) for the Prairie View A&M University National Alumni Association, the Founder of God’s Elite Ministries, Inc & the Co-Founder of the PVAMU International Alumni Foundation. Rev. Dr. Queen also serves a Pastor of Young Adults/College Students and Community Collaborations for the world renowned St. John’s Downtown UMC, where he helps to lead the war for spiritual enlightenment and the battles of Hunger, Homelessness, & HIV.
